Programme

Speeches

This year's event will follow a similar format to that of 2010 and will take place on Tuesday, the 15th of November. There will be several speakers from both industry and academia addressing the issue of bridging the gap in communication, research and innovation between the two communities. The goal is to present the perspectives from both academia and industry to look for connections, form partnerships and develop new technologies together.

Poster Session Competition

This year's event will differ from last year's event in that there will be a poster session competition. Judges will vote on the best posters and the results will be announced in the networking session to be held after the talks.

Networking Session, Dinner and Cocktail Reception

The event will culminate with an opportunity for professionals from academia and industry to network over dinner and cocktails in the form of a networking session. Companies, researchers and organizations who sponsor the event, or are invited by committee members, will be able to set up tables and displays in a designated area in order to present their research, advertise their products and achievements and network with invited guests. Experts from both communities will be able to share their ideas and make connections to improve the process of bridging the gap between industry and academia.
